As always, I wish you a lovely weekend!
The coming week is the final week of second grade for your students. How time flies!
On Friday, June 6, I sent home your child's Beginning-Year Math Assessment Score, and the End-of-Year Math assessment Score. I also suggested areas for further study this summer. If you would like to look at your child's actual Math Assessment, just come to our classroom any time between now and the end of the school year.
Here are some daily reminders for our final week of school:
On Monday, June 9, Reading Records are due.
All work for "Maniac Magee", ch. 41-46, is due.
We will celebrate Summer Birthdays. Please send a treat if your child has a summer birthday. You may also send a sleeping bag or blanket and a pillow.
Students have Clubs all afternoon.
On Tuesday, June 10, we have Field Day all morning. Please take your child directly to Park Road Park. Make sure he/she has a water bottle, tennis shoes, and a hat and sunscreen. We will ride the bus back to school and eat lunch at school.

On Wednesday, June 11, Graduation Awards will be presented in the morning.
It is a half-day, with dismissal at 11:15.
On Thursday, June 12, students have Clubs all morning.
It is a half-day, with dismissal at 11:15.
On Friday, June 13, our students will have their End-of-Year Party in the morning.
It is a half-day, with dismissal at 11:15.
On Monday, June 16, students have a half-day, Make-Up Day. Dismissal is at 11:15.
I have enjoyed teaching your children this past year. I have gotten to know them very well, and to care about them. It is with great pleasure and excitement that I look forward to teaching many of them again next year!!!
